My life revolves around my lovely rescue dog Saika, tech, and hobbies. I enjoy music, video games, board games, and learning Italian. I prefer Napoletana pizza over other types.

At work, I have worked in Fullstack roles, but I find myself yearning more for backend development. Getting things done excites me more than fixing pixels. That has led me to find my passion for internal tools. Helping other people with their work excites me. And one of the best indicators of my work is sometimes easy to miss: a reduced amount of complaints.

In code, I prefer readability and small increments. Making the codebase better little by little always makes life easier in the long run. For example, rewriting Javascript files into Typescript with proper types can be cumbersome now, but it will make you smirk every time you enjoy the benefits later on.

I value my colleagues highly and prefer an open culture with mutual respect. I get excited when I can share and gain know-how with my peers, e.g., new tools or productivity tips. Daily work is so much more enjoyable when you handle the tools well. My most important tool is my text editor of choice, VS Code.

Lately, I have been dabbling with AI tools, such as coding CLIs and agents like GitHub Copilot. I also created my own first MCP server, which I noticed requires a bit more work to be anywhere near useful.
